I was listening to christian radio and they asked this question
If you knew you were going to die today, what would you regret?
My question to you all is now
Why arn't you doing it now?

I have led a pretty modest life, and try to do unto others - my only regrets right now are that I was an a-hole teenager. I really worried my mom and sister to death. I am doing what I can to make up for it now, but sometimes it feels like too little too late. I regret not having found a woman to share my life with and start a family with, and I woudl regret that my mother had to attend my funeral. It not the natural order, no parent should have to bury their children.
This is pretty deep.

I would regret that I didn't lose weight sooner. I know that sounds shallow, but it has kept me from living a lot of my life the way I would have liked.
I guess I would have gone for the gusto more and stood on the sidelines less. Other than that I've had a wonderful and relatively easy life because I've been blessed with a lot of advantages. I had kind parent, a good childhood, and good friends. I've never known real poverty and I was born in one of the best countries in the world. I've also enjoyed really good health.

My regret would be not speaking to my brother. I've tried, but he won't talk to me or my sister.
Other than that, like Melodie I've been blessed! I had a great childhood, have and have had several true, wonderful friends, more "things" than many, and good health.

Looking back on my life I could say there are alot of regrets, choices I made, paths I taken, things I've done or not done, but when you get right down to it---if I took another path or made different choice---I would not be who I am today---the old butterfly effect
one big regret I do have though is not spending more time with my grandfathers---if I had known they would die when I was just a child---I would have taken time to know them better and hear from their own mouth the things others have told me about them---but it made me get to know my grandmothers that much better

My regret? Not following my dreams sooner and living the life I was meant to live. I'm doing that now, but it took me a while to figure it out.

I refuse to have regrets. All the experiences in my life, bad and good, have made me the person I am today. And I like that person.

As diamondwife said, I refuse to have regrets . . . . . life is too short. I look at my life as an ongoing learning experience.

I decided many years ago that I wasn't going to live with regrets. I would try to learn from each experience and hopefully become a better person.
As to the last question: I am doing it now . . . . I have finally committed myself to losing weight and reaching my goal. I have applied for admission to go back to college (of course this is the 5th time I've applied (!!!) but this time I think I really might go.

That was a pretty definite statement, wasn't it?!

OK - I'm going to be the funny one here and say that I would regret having saved money towards old age and wished I'd spent it all on having a good time. :-)
I'm not ready to go yet! I do need to have some sort of plan in place for my cats, so I would regret not doing that.

I don't think planning for old age is silly
I wish I did it too,
but I was/am a unexperience(jobwise) mom, widowed with 3 babies at age 39
So what money I got, had to be used for them and food, rent etc
now I am tryingto pay what I owe back
NO its not silly at all
