Charles or others that have switched your children to LC..can you tell us some behavior differences that you have noticed since you switched.

Not too much, they're just not as ravenous as they were. I'm waiting on the improved behavior though.....

I have not noticed any behavior differences, either, but none of them have any behavior problems to speak of. Just occasionally a little lazy and self-centered and whiny when they have to do something they don't want to do!

What we have noticed is a lot less hunger from 3 out 4 of them. But the youngest, Davy, has been eating like he has a hollow leg. It is astounding. DH measured them only a couple of weeks ago. We just checked and he has grown 3/8 in. in three weeks! So that is why he is eating like a small horse! I'm glad he is getting fat and protein for this growth spurt.

The other three have been quite satisfied between meals. It is nice to have less people milling around opening cupboards and refrigerator doors and asking for food!

You know, come to think of it, my middle child has started to grow a bit too. Some of his "school clothes" are getting snug and the jeans are not falling as low on his ankles.....It's either his diet or his Tae Kwon Do.

Thanks for the comments. I was thinking if you took the sugar and carbs out of their little systems..then maybe not so much whiney behavior. Just wishful thinking...user posted image

Who knows. They're still kids and as long these teachers persist in trying to treat them like college students, we're stuck with the "behavior." Kids neat to run and jump. Sitting around for an hour at a time being lectured to isn't fun at any age. We certainly wish there were more interactive learning going on, but that's another post for another time.... rolleyes.gif

ITA, Charles. Sitting still all day isn't normal for kids.

Got any alternative schools in your area?
Charles
Yes, but the population is growing so fast, it's difficult to get out of your base school. If you do, your kids might end up in year-round school, or they'll get bussed to another city (school across town) to attend school. It's crazy! We feel lucky that our children go to three different schools in their own neighborhood because many children don't.

Year-round school? A kid's worst nightmare! OUCH.
