Hi Everybody,

I have been getting a lot of requests for info about Barry Groves plan, and his newest book "Natural Health and Weight Loss". Here is a link to the pinned topic at the top of our forum which contains a short summary of the plan and 3 more links to available information until you can order the book. The book can be ordered through amazon.com if you can't find it locally.

If you are coming from Kimkins and you are looking at this as a possibility for your new plan, we have had some good results being reported from other Kimkins members about not regaining their weight and continuing to lose. I have found this to be the case for myself as well. You may experience a temporary rebound of "water weight" followed by continued weight loss but at a slower pace.

If you are currently doing Kimkins then my recommendation would be to bring your calories up to 1200 or more if you feel comfortable with that, but do it by adding mostly fat to the foods you are already eating. Put butter on your veggies, full fat salad dressing on your salad, heavy cream in your coffee and add bacon, eggs, and sausage to your breakfast. Be careful with the chicken breasts, and fish for now as they are mostly protein and we are trying to bring that to an "adequate" level, not to be confused with "high protein". Of course, watch the carbs and try to stay around 20g during this transition. Don't be afraid to eat fat it is the least likely nutrient to put weight back on you. I know that may be hard to "swallow" figuratively speaking, but it has been the experience of many here.

Please feel free to post any questions, or those already doing Groves we'd like to hear your experiences.
