In my quiet time today I was asking the Lord to show me His will for my life.. His purpose for me.... and I was led to Hebrews 10:24

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us NOT give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-- and all the more as you see the Day approaching!

I knew right away when reading this verse that this would be my first "verse" to post here. This is what I want to do... I want to be an encourager.. I will not let the enemy continue to discourage us... the JOY of the Lord is our strength.

I am nothing without Him... but with Him... I know He will use me to encourage you!

I love the word rejoice! to me.. it's like RE-JOy...you know.. go get some more!! Do it again!!! Even in the midst of trial.. we can get JOY!

I try to live by the verse, Deni! LOVE IT! And I love that song, too! You don't want me singing praises to God because I won't be able to stop.

RE-JOY! Now that's cool! Never thought about that.

Any song that praises God is good
But I dont think enough people rejoice in the lord.
Im my church, it is just solomen hymns, now they are ok most times I guess, But sometimes I really want to jump up and say, lets rejoice about what the lord has given us

I work with the youth group at my church... and boy... they could teach us all a thing or to about REJOICING in the Lord!

They have a "band" and those kids are jumpin up and down praising God!!! It's the most amazing thing to be a part of... and I am honored everytime I get to be involved with it. No offense to the good old fashioned hymns... but nothing stirs up my spirit like a "exuberant" praise coming from people who have abandoned their heart completely to the Lord!

(for some reason I can't picture David in the fields with his sheep singing a soft AHHHMEN...I see him more like the type who would not care if the sheep saw him dancing or jumping up an down shouting out how wonderful the Lord is!!! )

We have an incredible youth group at my church, too, Deni! They bring such energy to our 11am service on Sundays all sitting together on the front row. Makes it easy being a choir member when over 100 young people are enthusiastically praising God with you!
