oh yeah Dave----actually the majority of those having surgery either NEVER lose all the weight or regain just like with any weight loss effort---too many are not willing to do all it takes in the maintenance phase
my PCP was concerned about me being so thin---nearly anorexic as you can see by the pic above at my lowest weight---I looked horrible---she sent me to a dietitian--YUG!!---stupid me listen to the idiotic and packed on 35 lbs as well as went into a severe depression and ended up hospitalized---all thanks to a carb binge
no easy feat for someone who gets deathly ill when I eat carbs---where a serving of rice landed me in the ER with a severe hypoglycemic reaction
needless to say I tell people all the time that unless you are willing to do the work do not have WLS---you might as well stay fat---your health suffers from the nutritional deficits caused by the surgery to not be willing to give it your all
You look fabulous and so healthy!!

I wonder if these dieticians really understand the harm they cause sometimes. I wonder if they care?
