I was talking to someone concerning the kimkins controversy. There were two scriptures that came to mind.

Proverbs 16:2 "All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits"

2 Corinthians 10:4 "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds."

For many of us, our fight will NOT be in the courtroom. Through prayer and intercession we can fight this in a way that Kimmer cannot understand. We aren't battling flesh and blood... we are fighting in the spirit against that "thing" that would take "life" from some very wonderful people.

The enemy comes to "steal, kill, and destroy".

IF YOU FEEL LED TO JOIN IN DAILY PRAYER ABOUT THIS THEN HERE ARE THE ISSUES THAT I FEEL STRONGEST ABOUT TACKLING IN PRAYER:

1. Others: That the Spirit would cause His people to discern evil and flee from it. That they will not get caught in a web of deceit and it's consequences.

2. Kimmer: That what she does in darkness will be brought to the light and exposed. For conviction to weigh so heavily on her that she is miserable until she quits her deceit.

3. Favor: That God would grant favor to those who are led to pursue this matter in the courts.

4. Healing: That those who are depressed and miserable and THOUGHT they had found the answer would be led here. That we would be able to minister to them and show them a better way of living. That we can help restore their hope.

I know how I felt. I can't help everyone but maybe I can help one.

HEAVENLY FATHER,
I LIFT THIS SITUATION UP IN PRAYER. THANK YOU FOR REVEALING TRUTH. THANK YOU FOR PROTECTING US. WE PRAY FOR HEIDI. WE DON'T KNOW THE CONDITION OF HER HEART BUT YOU DO. WE TRUST YOU, LORD, TO LEAD US IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION CONCERNING THIS SITUATION. BRING EVERYTHING TO LIGHT THAT NEEDS TO BE REVEALED... ONLY WHAT NEEDS TO BE REVEALED. GRANT FAVOR AND WISDOM TO EVERYONE WHO IS PURSUING THINGS IN THE NATURAL... THROUGH NATURAL MEANS. PROTECT THEM.

I ASK THAT YOU LEAD OTHER MEMBERS WHO FEEL LOST AND CONFUSED TO WHERE WE ARE SO THAT WE CAN MINISTER TO THEM AND SHOW THEM YOUR LOVE. PLEASE DON'T LET THEM LOSE HOPE. SEND "LABORERS" ACROSS THEIR PATH. LORD, YOU KNOW THE HURTS AND THE GRIEF THAT THEY ARE EXPERIENCING. SHOW US HOW TO RESTORE THEIR HOPE.

Regandy - you are so right - what a better way to focus our energy than focusing on whether an expose shows up in national media or whether she is sued or charged in a criminal case. It's so easy to get caught up in that isn't it. Thank you for this. I'll join you!

Many people have been praying since this whole thing began and will continue to pray..

Pray that the truth will be revealed in the light of day and people who have been physically hurt, be healed completely and their emotional hurts healed as well. That the Survivors will feel no shame as they are led out safely to comforting, understanding arms.

Pray that those thinking of doing Kimkins will be stopped by God's spirit to find another healthier way to lose weight. That family and friends will support them in their efforts to lose weight safely.

That God will intervene in a mighty way in Heidi's life and she will be convicted by Him to turn her life around..

I pray for all the friends that are looking for a way out and a place to go.

Lord, reveal truth.

Thank you God for helping us renew friendships. Thanks you for a brand new day of mercy.

I ask that you help us focus on getting healthier. Guide us to make right choices.

Today I lift up the people on the kimkins web site. I ask that you help them sort through the rumors, hints, and inuendos and to find TRUTH.

I lift some of the more visible members who gave of themselves to help others. I ask you for a shield of protection around them. Lord, keep them safe from ANY liability or even the hassle of involvment in any way in this matter. Give them GREAT favor.

You are the God of all peace. I pray for peace over us today. Thank You for loving us unconditionally. Thank You for giving us hope and a future.

I ask for you peace. Keep us from evil -- wrong accusations, speculations, and ANYTHING that is not truth. Help us to keep our heart in YOUR hand.

Lord, You are sovereign and gracious, You renew your mercies every morning. Today I want to lift up Kimmer and those still on the KK diet. Please protect them from harm and shield their bodies from abuse.
I also ask that you soften the hearts of those hurt in this terrible morass. It is so easy for us to allow our anger and hurt to harden our hearts. And hardened hearts are far to susceptible to being twisted and crushed. Please soften that hearts of all involved so that those spirits can return to shining for You. I ask that you give me strength to pray for Kimmer and those hurt on a daily basis until I can feel forgiveness flowing out of me for all involved, whether that involvement was intentional or well intended. Thank you Lord. Amen
