Full Version: Protein Power vs Atkins

What are the differences? I'm coming out of the KK thing and was planning to "do" Atkins, but have been reading about Protein Power and glancing through Dr. Eades blog. I don't want to buy another book (that book thread someone put up had me spending a fortune on Amazon last night, biggrin.gif )

Anyone got a quick comparison of the two plans they want to share?

Sorry, I just found the thread on PP and some great info on the comparison of the two. Just getting my feet wet with this forum- sorry to confuse.... or be confused.... or whatever. Now I'm confusing myself..... Peg rolleyes.gif

Hey Peg, you might want to look at Jonny Bowden's Living The Low-Carb Life for a side-by-side comparison of ALL the major low-carb plans. Atkins contains a little more fat than Protein Power, but both are low-carb, ketogenic diets. EXCELLENT choices! You HAVE to read the books to understand your chosen plan. YOU CAN DO IT!

I'm new here but I thought I would offer the suggestion of your local library for a copy of any books that might be out of your budget to buy. I found several there (including the '72 Atkins).
Good luck!

Welcome Patty! It's good to have you here. And you're right--the library is an EXCELLENT resource for these books. Find the one you like and then buy it. smile.gif

Thanks, Jimmy and Patty. Fortunately Johnny Bowden's book is one that I splurged on from Amazon the other night. biggrin.gif
