Hi everyone
Still waiting on my Atkins books to come in.
Is it alright to take coconut oil and fish oil or should I just do one or the other.
Also since I am trying to do the maintenance, can I still eat the Stallone protein puddings on Atkins?
I have started adding in a few carbs at a time, like I have been reading on these forums,I don't want to over do on carbs to quick and start gaining. I have also started adding some cheese and eating some of my meats with the fat left on.
I weighed in monday and had lost another 1/2 pound, since doing K/E and keeping my calories and fats so low, I am having to tell myself that it is ok to eat those good fats now, guess it will take a little while, but I know I will get it all together and do well.

I take both fish oil and coconut oil! VERY HEALTHY!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Stallone puddings...make them REALLY cold for the best taste and they give you 20g of quality protein, too!

Monitor your reaction to the extra carbs and move cautiously so you don't allow your weight to creep back on you. I have to keep my carbs around 40-50g to maintain and I've been eating this way for four years.

GeorgiaGirlSher,

I've been taking Coconut Oil daily for over a month now. I have not noticed any stall in weight loss, but I have noticed great improvements in my skin. It is the healthiest I have seen it in years! The dryness is gone, it is shiny and pliable again.

In addition the Coconut Oil keeps you from getting hungry and has soooo many valuable health benefits. Two good books I highly recommend are "The Coconut Oil Miracle" by Bruce Fife, and "Eat Fat, Lose Fat" by Mary Enig. Both are excellent resources with in depth studies, research, data and info on the benefits of Coconut Oil.

I usually take two to three tablespoons daily. Mary Enig recommends taking it with a meal or about twenty minutes prior to a meal. If you get good Coconut Oil, you can just take a spoonful from the jar and in one swallow...it's down the hatch! I also recommend using it for cooking. It's one of the healthiest oils available.

I do coconut butter because I like the texture better for eating straight up. Today, I did the coconut butter with a few almonds...YUM!

I just started adding coconut oil back to my diet. I had been using it in the past, but stopped. I cooked some wonderful eggs in it last weekend.

Thanks everyone, I had ordered the Garden of Life coconut oil, but after I got it I wasn't sure so I will certainly be adding that in.

PP4Life, I have the Coconut Oil Miracle on my next list of books to order, I will also check out the other one you mentioned.

I mix my coconut oil with cocoa, sweetner and almond butter and let it set up in the freezer. Good stuff. I feel like I am eating candy!
