Thanks..it tells ya right there, doesn't it? Mine turned out to be 51 for a minimum protein amount. Now, I think it's safe to add 10-15 grams more.
But, it is important to watch the protein as well as the carbs..then don't sweat the fat!
However, if a person switches from Sedentary to Moderate exercise..their protein goes up about 20 grams. I'm sure it's because of the muscle building.

Wow, that was educational. Mine was 47 grams of protein. It said I only need to lose 18.7 lb.s I thought it would be more like 25.
Vee, thanks for the link. I'm going to post it over at our support group thread.

Thanks that was fun! It first said I only need to lose 2.6lbs and then I looked up and I had put 5'5 instead of 5'3. Wishful thinking...

You do not need to lose weight. Minimum caloric requirements: 2153 calories per day Your diet should contain at least 100 grams of protein per day. |
Yikes!
Actually, I knew I didn't have to lose anymore, I'm actually actively attempting to gain lean mass right now. The high calorie suggestion surprised me though

I don't know that I would eat the calories suggested for me either (seemed high) - the other stuff was interesting tho. According to this site I have been eating too much protein so am trying to work on lowering that now...
The calorie number it gave for me was very close to what I found I actually eat when I'm maintaining. The protein was slightly on the low side, but I didn't check to see what sort of diet they recommend. If you keep your carbs low, then you need a bit more protein to allow for some of it being converted to glucose for those few body processes that need it (Dr Mike Eades has blogged about this).
