Like many of you i was doing k/e for the first 3 days of joining kk... i baked "C" and made enough for 3 days. that was the last time i did kk... i used what i knew and tweaked everything... some might even say that i wasn't doing kk and i wasn't... my woe was eating everything in moderation... if i can LC it then i would... like if we went out to eat burgers i would protein wrap it instead of the bun... and i would stop eating after 6 or 7... worked out 3 times a week... went raw... ate a burrito when i wanted to...
anyways... back to the point... since my dealings with"C" the first 3 days (started june 11 ended june 13) i cant stand "C" just even thinking about it makes so sick to my stomach... why do you suppose i'm writing "C" instead of writing it out... nevermind about eating it... it's bad... but for some reason it's only when it's cooked a particluar way.. and white meat... i can do dark meat but not too much...
i like "C"... and turkey too... but these days eating turkey gets me nauseous... i had a turkey sandwich a couple of weeks ago and when i was halfway through i started feeling nauseous... i like both "T"(getting sick now) and "C"
today we went to eat islands... and i was gonna get the yaki (soft taco with marinated teriyaki "C" with pineapples, lettuce, salsa, sour cream... and my husband says... you always eat that why dont you try something else... i was hesitant at first but i tried the northshore (soft taco with spicy "C", lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and salsa, oh and cheese) so i took one bite of the "C" and i got nauseous... i got mad at my husband... and i got mad at myself more cuz i actually listened to the boob... dont get me wrong... i love the guy but i didn't like him much after i took a bite outa that taco... i like, well i used to like "C" and "T" but now it's getting me sick...
it's probably psychological and i hope that i do not come off crazy...
what can i do to make this feeling go away? i want to go eat them all w/o getting queezy...
help...

My experience with low-fat diet turned me off from dry white chicken breasts for life! LOL....
I can handle chicken salad with white meat and am learning to add some tastier chicken recipes into my life, but it's taken awhile!!
Have a steak! :-D

I used to like chicken salad, now I can hardly gag it down even with lots of mayonnaise.

I'm sort of that way with EGGS - my 1st attempt at Atkins about 9 years ago, I ate a TON of eggs, now they sort of gag me if "I" cook them. If my husband scambles them with ham or he cooks them I'm OK. Isn't that weird. Gee, do I sound crazy now?? LOL

I am not a chicken lover, unless it is swiming in some sort of gravy. On kimkins, it was horrid trying to eat alot of chicken.
Back to beef
lol

I am not a fan of chicken either....but I still buy it because of the price. I have to make it into something, tho, not plain baked, broiled, etc. I also prefer dark meat now. Putting chicken in salads and stir fry is one of the ways I eat it.
I much prefer beef! Or pork, Or fish...and shellfish!

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one that can't stand the thought of another grilled pre-frozen chicken breast.....bleah. One of the first thing I did switching from LA weightloss to Atkins was switch from those cardboard things to skin-on chicken thighs.Cooked in my air-grill , the skin gets all crispy , especially if I use a spice rub . Best part is that not only do they taste better, but they're cheaper than chicken breasts.
Band-it: ever tried free range eggs? The ones I get locally have the best-tasting yolks, totally different from grocery store ones.

I'm becoming more and more fond of grass-fed meats and local free range eggs. They are very delish, Taz!

Well, I have nothing to add really. I have never found a food that I just couldn't eat

As a matter of a fact, the only thing I cannot stand is jagermeister, but I am petty sure that is a different kind of situation

I am interested in hearing how you get past it though. I eat a lot of chicken, and could not imagine life without it.

Boneless chicken breasts have their place and there are some delicious recipes that I couldn't make without them. I think the key is to eat a variety of meats and protein sources so that you don't get tired of them. When I plan my menus, most weeks I try to work in some chicken, beef/hamburger, pork and fish to keep things interesting. How you prepare the meats can make a huge difference too.
Compare this:

to this:

They both started out with a boneless chicken breast. Which one looks more appetizing???

one dish my family just loves is
I cut the chicken in to strips, I fry it in Olive oil, i add Hot sause to taste.
And on the side of the dish I add Ranch Dressing and we dip the chicken in the dressing. It is really good.

It's one of George Stella's recipes from the low carb cooking show he used to have on Food Network. I've posted the recipe over in the recipe forum. It's under Meats and is called
Easy Cheesy Chili Chicken.

I have been buying the frozen drumsticks at WM and putting BBQ sauce over them and baking them for about 3 hours on slow. I make the BBQ sauce with 1 carb ketchup etc. These come out pretty tasty and not dry at all. I don't eat any plain white meat chicken anymore and if I do cook it I don't do the skinless kind.

i have to go over to one of you guy's house and eat some food

thanks you guys for telling me all your love and hate relationship with "C" i might give it another chance... i'm more partial to dark meat...
maybe people can put up recipes that has "C" in it... something that you have tried and know it's good... and juicy and tender... you get my drift... haha...
