Full Version: Minor Variations on Induction

OK - I don't consider this cheating because I stayed within my 20g of carbs a day and I knew these food choices weren't "bad" ones (as they are allowed on OWL) but I found that 1oz of nuts a day and my low carb protein shake made with water and 15ml of cream got me thru induction. I lost about 6pds (3kg) on induction (only need to lose another 6-10pds more - currently weigh 143pds and aiming for about 134pds) so I don't think this slight variation interfered any.

*FOR ME* I found that tailoring a little worked, without disrupting the process and point of induction. I also recall reading in Atkins' book that it is possible to skip induction (ie for vegetarians) so overall, I don't feel my induction "variations" were too much of an issue.

Anyway - not saying everyone should do it but that's what worked for me - YMMV!!!!!!!

If it works for you, then that's all that matters! tongue.gif

Nothing is chipped in stone. That's why some things don't work for some of us. It's good to experiment and find out the best way for yourself.

I agree. Different things work for different people, and I think this is a VERY important discovery. I LOVE to read about how different Lc'ers use what works for them. It is exciting to know that it can be done in a way that is perfect for the individual. Congratulations on your success and your inspiration!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
