Hi,
Just been told we are to be evicted out of "church housing" No reason given. This makes me mad as I am on a sickness benefit and my husband is currently unemployed. The church managers know this but....... I feel betrayed. My health is not good so I can't even help. We have no savings as they went the longer my husband was unemployed. So we cannot afford rent out in the real world.
Anyone got a tent or a cardboard box they can send me?? We have 90 days.
If you can remember my family, please......

Hi Karrie,
I'm sorry to hear of your tough times. My husband was unemployed for 9 months. We lived off of odd jobs and unemployment. We worked for our landlord to pay the rent.
Maybe the church has something your husband could do to earn your keep until he finds employment? It might be worth talking to them about.
Do you have children? I would also suggest checking into your local department of family services. They may be able to assist you with food stamps, paying utilites, or even rent, should you qualify. I know it's tough to ask for help, but that's what these services are there for. To help those who need a hand while they are getting back on their feet.
You'll be in our prayers.

Karrie, I've been there, too. I pray for strength and peace for your family during this trial and am confident God will work all things together for the good of those who love Him with all their heart, soul, and mind. THANK YOU for sharing your prayer concerns.

Thank you all. Today we received 2 good pieces of news. A local high school may be looking for some long term relief. My husband has an appointment on Thursday and...... from a job I applied for but did not get I received a phone call asking if I could help out for 2 weeks. I cannot work full time or full days as I have chronic fatigue but they said I could come in after lunch to keep an eye on some children during our school vacations (Between terms) God is great and answers prayers.
Thanks again.

Awesome, Karrie! We will pray for that high school job and that you can make a great impression in that two weeks that they'll HAVE to hire you for a regular position. Keep the faith, my friend.
Remembering you in prayer*
