They don't set specific calorie limits, but they do believe *calories count*. They offer lists of food choices and portion sizes. Recommended carb allowance is 50 to 100 grams (actual, not net), but it's up to you to find the range that works for you.

These are some quotes about calories I found on the Lindora site.
QUOTE
--The number of calories on the Weight Loss phase of the Lean for Life program varies per individual. A person's calorie intake will vary according to the specific food choices and number of snacks they consume while correctly following the program guidelines. A variety of factors such as gender (male or female), activity level, current weight, individual metabolism, age, etc. affect the number of calories needed to provide a deficit for weight loss while meeting hunger and energy needs. For example, individuals who are physically active will be able to consume more calories per day (by eating more Protein snacks, for example) than a person who is sedentary.

--One mistake that people make is to cut back too much on calories and carbohydrates when trying to lose the last pounds. If you cut back too much, you'll lower your metabolism and experience more difficulty losing. Simply follow the Lean for Life program eating plan correctly and stay in ketosis. Increase your daily physical activity to make your body work harder.

--Although "calories count", the LFL weight loss phase has you counting carbohydrates because carb "tolerance" for ketosis varies among individuals and is most likely to affect your program results to the greatest degree.
