Tell us about your accomplishments! What did you do this week that enabled you to succeed with your WOE/WOL. What obstacles have you overcome, what realizations have you made, what steps have you taken to move you forward in this journey? A compliment, a big weight loss, a milestone, a victory over a doughnut? Whatever it is, come in and share! Let us all celebrate with you!

Hey Carey, Jimmy & LC Buds. By far my greatest accomplishment this week was to join Jimmy's LivinLaVidALoCarb Forum. In doing so, I now have access to so much invaluable information and support. As we all know, knowledge is empowering. So, many thanks again Jimmy for starting the forum. It's wonderful to know we have a place to go with our questions and discoveries, and to trust the help we get. Pat

Thanks Jimmy, and you're right Pat, this is a great place.
As for my woohoo...food is always on plan (LFL), but this week, I challenged myself with my own personal 500 Mile Fat March to coincide with the new program on television.
I knew I'd never be able to commit to 500 miles in 10 weeks like they are, so my commitment is to 500 miles in a year, averaging about 10 miles a week. I needed an achievable goal to keep me motivated.
I also exercised some good self-talk this week, when I was out and the fast food demons were calling my name. I didn't succumb and came home and made good choices.
So woohoo for me!
Who's next?

Carey, how I have missed your woohoo posts! When got home this morning and signed on, the first thing I saw was your thread. It made me feel like I was coming home. My Woohoo for this week is just being able to come to this forum and visit with old friends as well as meet many new ones. I have learned so much already. It truly inspires me to learn more and more.
Thanks, Carey, for starting this thread

BTW, you look fantastic. It is so nice to see your smiling face again too!

Really? Nobody else accomplished anything this week that they're proud of? Nothing to help inspire the rest of us? No cravings you avoided? No pounds lost? No extra exercise effort? There's got to be something.

I wore a skirt in public yesterday that I couldn't zip up just a week previously!
I gave away big box of emergency clothing that I had bought at Goodwill about six weeks after my baby was born!

Instead of relapsing into non low-carb foods like ice cream etc etc, I relapsed into some low-carb foods that I hadn't been eating! Mayonnaise, cheese and butter to be exact and some salad greens. I am enjoying them more than if I had eaten the wrong foods and I am fully satisfied and at ease with myself..I am also going to take a little breather and let my weight fluctuate for a few months as long as I don't gain any more than a few pounds. Then I will buckle in a little tighter in a couple of months after harvest is over.

Gotta love getting into those smaller sizes Valerie! That's great! And good on ya for getting rid of those to big clothes. It helps to keep us motivated if we don't have those bigger clothes to fall back on. Keep on shrinking girlie!

Good for you Tom! Who needs ice cream with all the great foods available with low carb? Glad you're enjoying your foray back into salads. (mmm, my favorite!) I hope with your *breather*, you're still going to be livin' la vida low carb. You may just be surprised at the results. Wishing you continued success!

Thanks, yes, It's low carb all the way and for the rest of my life for me. I'm going to be eating the exact same foods for the rest of my life. It's just that I'm going to focus a little less on my weight loss and get some other things caught back up that I have let slip away some while I have been totally focused on the finding and implementing of my diet. It took awhile! I got it in the bag now, all I got to do is 'Livit La Vita Low carb'! One happy guy here!

Hey Tom. We haven't "met" yet, but I have been reading some of your posts with interest. I thought this one was great since experimenting eliminates boredom and is also how new discoveries are made. Often times we don't know how flexible this LC lifestyle is until we push it a bit to see what the results are. It is a very personal thing. So, good luck with your new wild and crazy food choices - who knows, maybe lettuce will become a staple in your diet.

(Warning - I have a very perverse sense of humour). Looking forward to more of your posts.

Thanks, and thanks for warning me about your sense of humor! I can be pretty dumb sometimes. The one I have to watch out for is the one that tricks me into eating something with rationalizations so that it can feed it's habit. I got a pretty good handle on it though.

Amen to that. Knowing our weaknesses is every bit as valuable as knowing our strengths. I agree, I think you've got a pretty good handle on it. Will watch for your posts to see how it's going (also your harvest ). Pat

My woohoo moment was spending the weekend in Tulsa with my family (mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, and hubbo) and eating totally OP...around homemade chocolate chip cookies. They started calling my name, so I ran up to QT and bought some reddi whip & cheddar cheese. I only had to resort to the reddi whip twice and I ate not one chocolate chip cookie. Sometimes I am amazed at how I have yet to "cheat" in my 7 weeks on this WOE.
What was funny was that my sister and mom would try to hide that they were eating the cookies and then if I saw them they would look like their mom caught them being bad and would say "Oh, I'm so bad to tempt you." I told them that I really am not that tempted. Then my mom would talk about how she needs to get serious about eating again. My mom only has 10 lbs she thinks she needs to lose, but I know that even 10 lbs weights on your mind big.
Valerie-fitting into smaller clothes is so exciting, way to go!
Congrats Deb, you are in the 1s!!!!!
