I already posted this on Who's Livin la Vida Low Carb topic - may as well repeat it here. Ok, here's the shortened version... smile.gif I'm thinking of doing South Beach, but ignoring the saturated fat recommendations.

I just can't go through life without butter, cream,etc.

Anyone doing South Beach THEIR way? wink.gif

What would the different be then between that and Atkins?

Dave, I don't want to count ANYTHING, including carbohydrate grams, and the carb gram "ladder" is essential to Atkins. On South Beach, you have 3 phases of food lists to choose from - no counting anything. It seems more suitable to my style, but I hate the sat fat restrictions.
