My first memory of chocolate is when I was four or five. I am sure I was eating it before this incident but this is the first actual memory. rolleyes.gif
I pushed my little table my dad made me over to the cupboard, crawled up high enough to get the E-Lax. I ate the whole box. My mom saw the tell tale ring around my mouth and called the doctor. They gave me something to induce vomiting sad.gif and I was sick. I remember my dad holding me over the toilet and I barfed and barfed and so on. I kept telling my dad I was done and he said let's see.
But you know that didn't change the way I felt about chocolate! smile.gif Too bad it didn't but if not chocolate it probably would have been something else.

End of July and all of August I had 34 cheat free days. Going for that again!

Thanks so much for sharing Glittergal!

My grandmother used to put chocolate on her fingertips for me to suck on when I was an infant- when I needed soothing, she gave me chocolate.

Needless to say I dont have it in the house!

Lindora makes a great low carb chocolate mint protein bar. I do not know if you track all carbs or just usable carbs. I do not crave chocolate more sweets in general. Below is the nutritional data. It is very tasty.

Rich dark chocolate with a refreshing twist of mint, this protein bar is reminiscent of your favorite mint chocolate cookie. A snack time favorite! 7 protein bars per box.

Thanks, Bella and Pattim for the replys and the hint about a chocolate substitute.

Guess anything chocolate and low carb is better than E-Lax! laugh.gif

Like I said before that incident didn't turn me off chocolate but I sure have a thing about vomiting! user posted image

I think an Atkins 72 challenge is a great idea- how about one for the month of October? Think of a snazzy name!

I am with you on the chocolate issue, Glittergal. I could literally live on the stuff. I crave it to the point that I call myself a chocoholic. I'm not kidding! Sometimes if I get a really strong craving for it, I think I'll panic if I don't get it!

Anyway, I buy Lindt chocolate bars that are 85% cocoa. They are bittersweet and very strong, so they aren't for the faint of heart. Each square is 2 grams of carbs without subtracting the fiber. If I figured it right, each square will have about one carb each. It satisfies my chocolate craving completely.

Just an idea! smile.gif
