Today, while many of us are celebrating in a way at the exposure of Heidi on the news... I feel led to really pray for the people who are just discovering that they were betrayed and are victims.
Becoming a victim of something like this is very painful emotionally, and admitting to it is difficult. We need to extend open arms, and compassion and understanding to anyone who wanders our way as a result of the fallout over the News this morning.

Heavenly Father,
You are an amazing God, and you alone are in control of this world. Lord, I feel the pain of so many this morning, and I know that your heart aches for them as well. I pray that you will allow them to turn to you, and to be comforted by the love and hope that only you can offer. I pray for healing in their hearts, both physically for some, and emotionally for all. Lord, you are the great comforter, and I cry out for my shepard to carry us all thru this difficult time. I look hopefully towards the future when we can all rejoice at how you've used "a wolf" to lead your sheep to safety. Father, it's time now, to gather them all and send that "wolf" away where she can no longer harm us. Thank-you Lord for being there for us.. then.. and now. Let us all remain rooted in you, and let us be examples of your love and compassion above all else.

Amen, Deni. Well-said. If any good is going tol come out of this, it is the fact that there are many low-carb communities which have rallied to lend support to ex-Kimkins folk. I have adapted the Mi Sheberach, the traditional Jewish prayer for healing, to add to this thread. May we all be gifted with love and trust, openness and support to help our community heal.

May the One who was a source of blessing for our ancestors, bring blessings of healing upon our friends who were victims of diet scams, a healing of body and a healing of spirit. May those in whose care they are entrusted be gifted with wisdom and skill, and those who surround them be gifted with love and trust, openness and support in their care. And may they be healed along with all those who are in need. Blessed are You, Source of healing.

amen, and my prayers are added. i can feel their pain, their loss, and their betrayal. i've been there and know it's scary and lonely. i know this sounds over dramatic, but truthfully that's how it felt.

i hope they will learn they can find a home here, and support, and lots of loving hugs - all without judgement - cus we've been there.
