Jimmy love the forum and your responsiveness however a spell check for the forum postings would be helpful for those of us who are challenged in that arena.

If they can't add one to the forums, there is a nice freeware spell checker that I use in Internet Explorer. It installs a spell check button to the browser's toolbar.

Thanks Linda for that great link!! I have wanted to be able to have spell check while doing odd things on the computer for ages. Uh - I don't mean ODD I mean, uh, um, stuff not on word - there, that's better. LOL. Never thought to look around for a program like this. AND, just tried it and it works great. smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Thanks for the advise. I usually just forge ahead if I am typing a little response but if I am rambling on I type it in Word and then paste it over hear. My daughter keeps making fun of me beacuse I keep adding an extra o to loser. I keep telling her it is because I am extra enthusiatic about LOOOOOSING

THANKS for sharing that tool LindaSue! I'm a perfectionist with spelling, so I don't think about having a spell check. Although I do make a mistake every now and then. tongue.gif

Although I hate going back to reread my posts to find spelling mistakes, it doesn't bother me to read other's...........I figure as long as I can get the meaning, it's all good!
As long as the spelling police don't come on board, we're all safe biggrin.gif

(I was on another board and this teacher used to correct spelling until we all told her that until we sit in her classroom, to leave us alone!! rolleyes.gif )

I'm not complaining and I can always fix 'em if they bother me. biggrin.gif

What's the fun in having a spell check? I have been the butt of many a joke because of my spelling errors. If my spelling handicap can bring many more smiles to the world, then so be it.

Certainly not a complaint...and you've probably already solved the problem, but... (don't you just hate those buts! wink.gif )

Is there any way to simultaneously (spell check on) post to more than one thread?

If anyone has the "Google" toolbar at the top of their page it has a good spell checker as well. I was joking with Jimmy about that one day because I seriously can't remember how to spell my own name somedays and I just happened to look up at the buttons and there is was. LOL

Thats strange...whenever I type my responses here in the forum, it spell checks for me as I go. If a word is misspelled it us underlined in red and I correct it. I guess it might have something to do with my WORD program, but, I thought it was the forum huh.gif

You can open more browser windows or tabs in each browser. I keep two three tabs open here so I don't have to keep finding each page I want!

What browser do you use? I use Mozilla Firefox and it has automated spell check on everything I type! I really like that!!
