I didn't get to the movies for a long time... About ten years. I really love movies and I love to sit in a dark theater and sip a soda so I have made a point to go once in awhile!

I recently saw Bourne Ultimatum and Die Hard with a Vengence. Good flicks!

I went today with my sister and my daughter. We saw Across the Universe. What a trip! It's a psychedelic, hippy musical set in the late 60's using all Beatle's music. It was quite an experience. I was born in 1966 and didn't even know there was a war going on until it had been over for two years--even though my uncle was over there! Those images in that movie took me back to early childhood memories! I want to see it again...

I love comedys as life is too serious. I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry was great & Good Luck Chuck was very funny, although it had a little too much sex scenes for my taste. Gosh I am getting old.

Christine and I LOVED Premonition and The Number 23.

Patti,

I wanted to see Chuck and Larry. In fact, we had an invitation to see the premiere in Hollywood, but we couldn't do it. I kick myself for not making it happen. I have never been to a Hollywood premiere!

Jimmy,

I definitely want to rent Premonition, but what is The Number 23??

My husband bailed out on me tonight--no date! He drove to Idaho to deliver something to a friend, but he promised me two movies and extra kisses to make up for it! I went to see Across the Universe again with a friend. She loved it! And she let me borrow Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. She said if I liked Across the Universe, then I would love Sergeant Pepper!

Saw Chuck & Larry, too...funny "fat" scene at the beginning that you'll never forget.

The Number 23 stars Jim Carrey where he obsesses over how everything is related to the number 23. It's kinda spooky, but that's what makes it so great.

I saw Mr. Bean... It was okay, but not really my cup o' tea! I did it for the children. My dad was hear for the weekend and we needed to find a movie that was okay for everyone!

Is the new Hairspray as good as the 80's version??

I'm so excited I can hardly sit still! I get to go on a date with my handsome husband tonight!!!! We are going to see Across the Universe. It will be my third time. Hee hee I bought the sound track today and I'm gonna go sit in the car and listen to it till my husband comes home!

Dave,

Okay, I will definitely see Hairspray. But I think Stardust is next for us. Friday is our 22nd wedding anniversary and we are going to another movie. I looked it up and it looks like it would be perfect for a romantic evening!

It's so weird. It seems like only yesterday that we were having a 25th anniversary party for Mom and Dad. And three more years it will be 25 for us! wow.

So, you will be married soon! I saw your sig--135 days?? Congratulations! How exciting. We just had a wedding here in our home last December. Our oldest daughter was married! Life is going by so quickly...user posted image

Hairspray was FANTASTIC! I loved the 80's version but the songs in this one are terrific and the actors all look like they're enjoying the heck out of bieng in it. If anything, this one is better. I can't wait to get it on dvd - I love having upbeat musicals running when I do housework.

Didn't see Hairspray, but wanted to. Evan Almighty was wonderful, and I agree that Stardust was amazing. I will definitely be buying that one.

Ha! Me too! I went through a 10 year kick of watching nothing but I Lucy Lucy and old musicals like South Pacific, My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, Fiddler On the Roof, and Guys and Dolls!
