Full Version: Our Definition of Zero Carb
Low Carb Discussion Forum > The Livin' La Vida Low-Carb Plans > Who's On The Zero Carb Path?
Dave
I would like to set the parameters of Zero carb, for the purpose of discussion on the forum.

We will define a zero carb diet as one that is 5 grams of carbs or less. This is because it almost impossible to be truly zero carb, with carb grams in things like eggs.

Our Zero Carb diet is one that is High in Fat. Fat is your main source of calories, followed by protein.

You will not eat fruit or vegetables as they have carbs. However some folks may be having things like herbs etc - so refer to the under 5 grams rule.

The purpose: To get our insulin under control. People with hyperinsulinism need to go that extra step sometimes to make things work.

What the zero carb forum is not: It's not low fat. It is not Kimmer's Experiment, unless you include all the fat.

Medical Warning: Like the entire board, we are not giving medical advice nor or we a diet cult. You must take responsibility for yourself and speak with your doctors. Obviously people with medical conditions like kidney disease and gall bladder problems - must be consulting their doctor. Pregnant Women must also consult their doctor. This diet is not for them.
