Chicken Fajita Burgers and Seared Peppers and Onions - page 46

About the only thing I changed was to leave out the tortillas and I made mine into six patties instead of just four. These burgers are very hot and spicy from the chipotle chili powder, the jalapeño and green salsa. The sauce is kind of interesting and different. It's like a combination of sautéed peppers and onions and salsa. I rated them a 3 out of 5.

Hungarian Turkey Burgers Stuffed with Smoked Gouda - page 54

I thought these were very good. I wondered if the peppers and onions would cook well enough in such a short time, but they were fine. I used a blend of smoked Swiss and cheddar on mine. You can't really taste the smoke flavor in these so you could use any kind of cheese that gets creamy when melted. I didn't make the sauce that goes with it because it didn't appeal to me. I served them with Mustard Slaw. I gave them a 4 out of 5.
