I followed Jimmy's instructions:

"Adding images to your signature is quick and easy when you follow these steps:

1. Click on "My Controls" at the top right-hand side of the page.
2. Click on "Edit Signature" in the lower left-hand corner of the page.
3. Click on the IMG link and insert the URL of a photo online (PhotoBucket and Flickr are common housing sites for personal photos online) OR you can simply grab the URL of the photo or image you want to input and place the code [IMG][/IMG] around it. NOTE: BE SURE THE PHOTO IS SMALL ENOUGH TO FIT IN YOUR SIGNATURE BOX...TOO LARGE PHOTOS CAN BE CUMBERSOME TO SCROLL THROUGH ON THE FORUM. biggrin.gif
4. Finally, click on "Update My Signature" and your images will appear. THAT'S IT!"

And all I get in my signature is this"

I tried linking to my photos at Flicker and Blogger, the same image under 450 x 330, a .jpg format and the code looks like this in my signature box

Well, durn it took the html example and did it again.

I used [IMG] with the link http://bp1.blogger.com/_TsXbsIcqW_Y/RvbXd-.../s1600-h/BF.jpg

then put the end code with the / in it.

Carol,

You may have to break down and use photobucket. I have not had any problems with that.

Blogger doesn't allow you to direct link their images from other websites -- so like MelodieGirl said, you'll have to upload the picture to another site! That's why it's not working. smile.gif

I haven't had problems with Flickr one bit. Just get the SMALL size of the picture you want to use, make sure it is the jpg URL for that SMALL picture and put the [IMG][/IMG] code around it. E-mail me Carol if you still have trouble and I'll get it done for you. smile.gif

Okay, I got ya fixed, Carol! wink.gif

I noticed that the UBBCode tags are showing around Carol's weight ticker thing. Is there a way to remove those extra tags? I suspect that the code was inserted twice somehow.

Fixed it! She had an extra space between the link and the image. This forum can be very pesky sometimes. biggrin.gif
