As soon as I wake up and get off my duff I am going to make 3eggs in butter and then put them over some chopped up sirloin burger. With a sprinkle of cheese.

I have been eating this for breaky for 2 weeks. I am excited about our new plan.

Ok, I have had 2 eggs and 9oz of steak so far today. Along with some of one of those fuze drinks. These things are like replacing juice. So much better than a soda.

Sandi - no I don't add anything to them. The were angus burgers that came pre - seasoned.

Boo - Now you are making me want to go to the store today and get some of those FUZE drinks. What store did you find them in?

Jimmy - I don't eat breaky until about 11:00am and lunch about 2 or 3pm and dinner at 7:00pm. I am a nite owl. So, I have plenty of time to eat.

Where do I find Fuze at the grocery store?

Congrats on figuring out what works for you. I think that is the way to be the most successful because cheating just hardly seems interesting if you have your tweaks to keep you on plan.

I found Fuze at the grocery store. I just happend to walk past it as I was heading down the soda aisle. The had a display on the end. When I saw it, I remembered Jimmy talking about it in his youtube thing. I don't know where they would normally keep it. Maybe with the flavored waters. It is not carbonated and is not "juice". I'm going to look for some more tomorrow. Yesterday I had the tropical punch and today I am having the Tangerine Grapefruit. They both are really good.

Tonight for supper we are going to "FFY" it. (fend for yourself). biggrin.gif

I am going to have a 3 egg omelette with bacon, mushrooms and cheese. This will be my 2nd meal for the day. Later tonight I will have a salad with some turkey, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, avacado, with blue cheese dressing. I already have everything chopped and ready to throw together.

My numbers for the day will look like this:

1829 cal, 55/7/38 (f/c/p) with 14 net grams of carbs.

I just had the broccoli quiche from Linda's induction recipes and WOW! it was really good.

I couldn't find Fuze at Wal -Mart, so maybe I will try another store. I don't know what my totals will be..Fitday here I come. I was late for church, so my breaky was 1 1/2 of the sirloin burgers w/ some mayo.

Hey I have to tell yall, I just found the DANDR on iTunes. user posted image I'm like not even 1/2 way through it yet and I keep bouncing all around in it looking for certain things I see people talking about. I bought it and downloaded it tonight. This way I can listen to it as I do my housework or run my errands. I'm so excited. Ok, so I'm dorky too. tongue.gif

O.K. for today..2560cal 60/33/6

I think I did pretty well. Those burgers I was buying have 30 grams of fat in them. I can get a whole lot of fat and not really eat "alot". I did have a LC ice cream..BAD DOG! I am sorry.

Still on the FUZE hunt...

Ok, I'm back. I didn't eat the salad. I was hungry but not THAT hungry. I didn't feel like eating any veggies either. Instead I browned about 5oz of ground turkey, added 1/4c mushrooms, a little water and a dash of beef boulion, 1/2 tbs cream and 1tbs of sour cream. It was good. Like beef stroganoff without the noonies.

So my numbers have changed.

1431 cal, then fat/carbs/protein were 54/5/41. Not too bad.

I'm not feeling like salad much, either. I had some sliced tomato with dinner. I dunna like mushrooms. I do like onions. Maybe I should get some bell peppers and oinions and saute them like you did and have them on hand. I did buy some cream cheese for next week.

what are you gonna do with the cream cheese? i can't think of anything to do with it since bagels aren't allowed. LOL i always have cream cheese on hand. chelsea likes cream cheese bagels in her lunch.

That granola is delicious and sweet, but it's so very high in fat that, for me, it's self limiting. When I make it part of my breakfast, I have 1/2 c. granola, 1/4 c. half-and-half and 2 buttered, fried eggs on the side.

I don't know about the cream cheese. Maybe. What else can I have with it on the FF?

Faz Z Snax is a LC Granola. I haven't had it yet. I saw it on Netrition.com

FF is too far away for me to worry about right now. LOL I have to concentrate on AI.

I'll check out netrition tomorrow. I gotta go to bed. It's 1:30 and I have to get up in the morning. Man I wish I still homeschooled! tongue.gif

I found some vitamins that are for stress and energy. I'm going to add them tomorrow and see if I can make it through the day without a nap.

Ok Hilary. It is 2:20pm here and I have not had anything to eat yet today. I am just not hungry. The thought of eating something makes me feel like there is something in my throat. Like before you get on an airplane. Hopefully it won't last too much longer. If I can get something to eat soon, I'll be ok. It's just that initial meal of the day that does this to me. user posted image

ETA: it's now 3:20 and I just had a cheese stick. It should be getting better soon. smile.gif

Hey Vickie. Glad you found us.

Ok for dinner I made some turkey breast cutlets with sauteed mushrooms then I put some chicken broth into the pan and made a "gravy" with some bullion and sourcream. We had a salad and some green beans too. It was yummy. I can't wait for the thickandthin not starch to show up wednesday. mmmm gravy.

I feel much better now. As a matter of fact, I made 3 extra cutletts and put them in the fridge with the 'gravy' over them for later tonight. I can tell I'm going to be hungry again.

So far I'm at 45/11/45 (542 cal) and I'm done with the veggies for the most part so everything will increase and the carbs will decrease as I finish out the day.

I was looking at the granola tonight. I think I might get a bag of the Wild Cherry Nut. I don't care for macadamias or pecans. It would be a nice change for a breakfast or night time snack in a couple of weeks. biggrin.gif

Valerie, I had dh stop by the grocery on his way home tonight to grab more salad stuff and forgot to ask him to get more fuze too. I'll have to stop on my way home in the morning.

Nothing like going with all the AARP folks huh? wink.gif

Boo - I couldn't sleep last night until 4:00am and I had to be up at 6:30am. It was picture day at the church for the homeschoolers and I was in charge. I got home at 2:00pm and fell asleep. I am not that hungry today, either. I don't have your problem of nausea and even when I do, I eat and it keeps my stomach busy and the feeling goes away.

Let me know if you like the granola. I am looking forward to LC tortillas. Look at you, making gravy and stuff.

How has it been going for you today? I'm still sitting where I was after my meal. It's 9pm. There is this video game that comes out at midnight and we bought 4 copies of it back in March and I am thinking of going to the mall at 12 to pick them up. Maybe. If the rest of the mall was open I would definately go. tongue.gif

I slept today too. I didn't go to bed until around 3. There is a show that comes on A&E at 3am called A&E classroom. There are some really neat things on there. I can't set it to record. It doesn't show up in the guide so the DVR won't set for it. I have to wait for it to come on and see if I want it then start it before I go to bed.

I'll be up for a long while and I'll check in every now and then if you want to chat.

I have to go help Chelsea study for her Science exam she has on Thursday. I can't believe we are coming up on the end of the 1st 9 wks already. blink.gif

Halo?! You guys are into Halo? My dad is a nut over it. I am kinda weird, but my kids don't even own a gameboy. My parents tease and keep telling me they are gonna get the kids one for Christmas, but they haven't yet.

I am doing good today...2000 cal. 58/38/3 . I started counting the NET carbs today and found out that I am way low. I guess I will have to have more salad or tomatoes still. I really want something sweet tonight.

My show is back on tonight..HEROS. Love that show.

Yea it's Halo. Mark and Chelsea are into it. I'm more of a Mario person. LOL They just showed long lines of people in front of one store in town waiting to get it at midnight. Whatever. I'm not going tonight! I'll go in the middle of the day when all the kids are in school and the hubbub is over. smile.gif

I just ate a handful of cashews. I know their not on induction. tongue.gif I have the munchies now. I want something I can melt cheese on or something snacky. Not meat or eggs. sad.gif

I just watched my show and had about 1/2 a cup of macadamia nuts. I bought them for next week, but I keep eating them this week. I think I need to make some more cheese crisps. They really help when I am feeling munchy.

What is a cheese crisp?

I did it with parmesan, but you could do it with most any cheese.

Grate the cheese put it in little piles on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees from anywhere betwwen 5 min to 15. You want them melted and somewhat browned. Then you take them out let them cool and you have cheese crisps. You can dip them in salsa, guac., whatever. Linda has some good reciepes in her induction menu.

Well yesterday kinda sucked.

Today is better. I had 2 eggs and 2 of those sausage patties that Charles talks about for breakfast. That puts me at 440cal and 57% fat for the day already.

I didn't go to bed until after 3am and got up at 6:30 so I'm going to go take a nap right now. I have a list of things to do today and I need a nap to get them all done. I have to get out of this pattern of sleeping 4-6 hours at night and then again during the day.

O.K. so tonight I am going to get on the treadmill and do some fast walking. Then in a few days I will get out the T-Tapp dvds again. I figure this will be fine. I can't spend a lot of time on my excersise because I need to get the whole LC recipe planning and execution going so I can get my family LCing. I want to start running again, but I think my form was bad and I want to read the ebook Charles recommends, but I just don't have the time.

I am hooked on the Quiche, so I am going to try my hand at a sausage one. I wanted to make a bacon quiche, but I can't find any bacon with no sugar or nitrates in it. sad.gif

I just came from the grocery....again. I needed some Fuze! LOL I looked at all the bacon, I found one that didn't have sugar added but it had nitrite. Maybe Charles can come and tell us what brand he uses and where he gets it.

I am very discouraged today. Since leaving kk, I have gained 14lbs. I have tried increasing my calories and I just can't eat that much food. I have increased my fat intake and I am fuller sooner. I stay full longer. That is what is supposed to happen right?

Anyway, I'm gonna go throw some burgers on the indoor grill. Still too hot to grill outside. tongue.gif

I gained about 9lbs. since I left KK and "cheated" for awhile, but in two days of our starting induction I have lost 2.2 lbs. The weird thing is the more "good" fat I have the better it seems to work. Remember last night I had all of those macadamia nuts (I know, not supposed to on induction) and I thought for sure that it would show up today on the scale, but it didn't..I lost over a lb.

Maybe you should try eating a little cleaner and see if it helps. I mean, eat just the meat and veggies for a day or two and see if it helps. Maybe the dairy is too much for your system at the moment since KK.

I'll cut the cheese out. Oh, the sourcream too.

My coconut oil came today. I thought it would smell like coconut but it doesn't. It smells good. I'm afraid to just taste it. Do you cook with it or just "eat" it?

I just eat mine. I get a tsp. out and scoop and eat. I've heard some use a TBsp.

I like the taste of mine. My children did not. My husband will not go near it...not yet, anyway.

Ok for dinner I had a burger, and a big salad. The burgers are like 7 oz each. They are huge. The in the salad I had 3c mixed greens, 1/2 med tomato, 1/4 c mushrooms, 2 slices of bacon, 1/2 and avocado then the blue cheese dressing.

I am definately full. So with that today I am at 1544cal, 55/6/39. Are you counting net carbs or total? If I go total that is 23 if I go net that is 18.

I wonder if the reason I have gained is because of all the beef I have added. I never ate beef on kk since if you did they scolded you. I did add 1 small burger around TOM the last month. I LOVE beef. I could eat steak every meal everyday. With some seafood thrown in here and there. biggrin.gif

I have two pounds of hamb. thawing and I'm going to cook it with 1/2 an onion and some basic seasonings. That way I can keep it in the fridge and add some bbq sauce (kc masterpiece low carb), or some mayo/mustard mixed (like a sloppy joe)when I need to eat something. I'm going to start setting a reminder on my computer to pop up every 3 hours to go eat something. I think even if it's just 1/4 c of meat that will help get me to where I need to be.

What do you think? I HAVE to make this work. I DO NOT want to go back to where I was. I just can't.

I think that is a great start. You need to listen to your body..if you are having headaches and nausea, then start slower or cut some stuff out. That is the point of induction is to find your "safe foods".

I don't think it is the beef. I think it is the richness of all the fat all at once. Like Charles said..cut some of the fat with the veggies for now and build yourself up to it. I think the coconut oil will really help you get your fat up. Don't stress about the numbers, yet. Just eat the right kinds of fat, listen to your body, and find the right foods.

I am addicted to the macadamia nuts...please help.

Just joking. I don't know if we are having fun...trying to get our LC legs and figure things out. Like how to kick my newfound macadamia nut addiction. I think Boo and I both are rule followers and trying to make this taylor made for us is hard. You and Charles are a real help with your encouragement and helpful suggestions, esp. the ones from you and involve chocoperfection and macadamia nuts..
