Would it be alright to use them instead of coconut oil??? I have used macadamian oil for years but just can't warm up to the taste of coconut oil...If so how many do you think would be OK? Coming down from kimkins having a hard time adding fat in my diet..Thanks

I used them once
Not sure it is the same as using the oil it self.
I know I felt more energy using them
but I had to take like 4-6 a day and it got too expensive to do

You can't get as much of the coconut oil in the capsules, so I'd personally go for the spoonable version myself. biggrin.gif

Pegala,

I agree with Jimmy. If you're going to use coconut oil, you'd be (much) better off going with the oil itself.

You'd need to take about 14 softgels to equal the same amount of oil that you'd get in a tablespoon!

I kid you not!

On one of the coconut oil sites, the owner said that with the capsules you really only get a few drops of the oil in each one and that to reach the proper levels you'd have to take 49 of them a day. Well, of course, his first goal is to sell his product which is coconut oil but he just may be telling the truth. The gelatin they have to use is so thick so who knows. After I finish my bottle of capsules, I am going back to the jar. I was told by an author that this guy's brand is the best and she is not affiliated with him so maybe that's true, too. Can't hurt to try.

I'd just as soon have my tablespoon of coconut oil and be done with it! biggrin.gif

Hi,

I was just about finished with my tribute to Jimmy, a sculpture of him in coconut oil, and wouldn't you know it, the temperature went over 76! I knew I should have used beef! Though, you can still sorta see his face in the puddle...

Just a quick note to thank everyone for turning me on to coconut oil. One week and my skin is so much better! And yes, the unrefined is much better than the refined, and I can eat it by the tablespoon (solid).
