HI everyone!

Well, September was supposed to be my super weight lossmonth!
I am seeing a very important guy on October 5th, unexpectedly...and although I have lost 40 lbs since July...weight loss has just stopped in September!! Really only about 5 lbs since September 1st...3 weeks!!!!!!

I have tried using the treadmill 45 minutes a day, drinking 2 litres of water, eating more calories...even tried adding moremore fat to the diet, ...but nothing!

Anyone have an emergency measure that might help. It is all about my self confidence. If I weight this much...I will feel lousy and it may show in my personality...I don't want that!!!

What about just protein shakes?? Desperate!!! sad.gif
At 5'7" and 190 lbs...I just won't cut it!!!

HELP!!!!

Natural fluctuations and stalls on the scale will happen, but that doesn't mean your body isn't changing. Don't let that stupid little machine tell you how to feel about what you are doing on your low-carb lifestyle! You're doing this as a permanent and healthy lifestyle, not some flim-flam temporal diet.

Whether you lose a single pound before your "big day" is irrelevant. What you are doing by keeping your commitment to livin' la vida low-carb is so much more important and lifechanging that it should excite you about what's to come in the very near future. Your weight is merely a number, but your attitude comes from within.

Get out of desperation mode and start living healthier than you ever thought possible. Okay? Here are a few inspirational blog posts I wrote at my "30-In-30" blog recently that should cheer you up and inspire you in this mindset:

Okay, deep breaths my friend. You can do this!!!

I do appreciate everything you have said Jimmy, and I am sticking to the lifestyle...but what I want right now is a 'quick fix' even temporary for the next two weeks!

Shakes, fast...what??? Anybody???

Sascha!

Sascha, 5 pounds in three weeks isn't bad at all. That fits right in with the 1-2 pounds per week recommendation for most healthy diets. I don't think you can lose enough in the next two weeks to make a noticeable difference in your appearance. I'd suggest eating "clean", skip any diet junk foods and don't eat anything really salty that might cause bloating for the next two weeks and just look forward to seeing your friend. You will still be the same person whether you weigh what you weigh right now or a few pounds less.

Sasha,

I am a bit at loss for words here... There are many ways to lose weight fast temporarily, none of them are healthy and a search on Google would provide you with more info than you ever wanted to know about it.

What person is that guy going to meet? A starving one who is willing to jeopardize her health to impress him. I am sorry to say it but I wouldn't want to meet that person... Because whatever happens he won't have met more than an illusion.

I hope you find within yourself the strenght to accept and believe that you are an exceptionnal person and worth meeting even if you weigh more than you should or would like to.

Nothing should rank higher than your health. Nothing!

Good luck
Jimmy Moore
