I love the idea of "I've seen it all and tasted it all before; there's nothing new.. it's glorified cafeteria food..." and then I head straight for the salad bar! biggrin.gif

I usually fill my plate w/ salad and veggies, and THEN I go add the other things I may want - automatic portion control if I don't have much room on my plate! smile.gif OH and 1 trip. NO REPEATS!

I do a salad first too.
Fill up on that first
But I try not to go to buffets and such as it is too tempting.

Buffets are bad for me. I always overeat. BUT, the good thing is there is usually plenty of meat of different sorts. Always a chicken dish, always a fish dish, sometimes a carved meat like turky or roast beef. I fill my plate with an assortment of meat and then a small salad and I'm good to go.
PS: Thanks for posting the Thin Commandments information. Very good. I will need to get the book. Sounds very inspirational and good tips.

I go online and see what the menu is for a restaurant- last night we went to Outback Steakhouse which is great for lowcarb! But I look ahead and plan what Im going to eat. I also might eat a protein snack before I go.
