I was trying to search for suggestions that relate to a certain three letter word that only women care about, but the search engine wants four letters and considering I'm approaching that certain three letter word, I'm about ready to spout a few four letter words if I can't find help.
Just kidding. But it would be nice to find posts about "pms" or "tom"
Thanks

Girl, do I have a duckie for you. Maybe we'd better order a gross or so of these, so that we can keep all of us supplied, prn.

Honey you don't EVEN know. I'm so cranky I warned my husband. "You're gonna piss me off. I don't know how and I don't know when, but it's gonna happen."

QbnPatty,
I can't tell you why it won't search for anything less than four letters. I have tried using spaces, asterisks and so forth. The help feature is not very detailed. It is working though because it will search out a 4 charater keyword.
This is a question for the Admin. I will pass it along and try to get an answer for you. Sorry for the incovenience.

The 4 letter minimum feature when searching is a limitation of MySQL -- not of Invision Power Board.

This is the same on vBulletin forums as well. MySQL also disables you from searching for the following words:
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/4.1/en/ful...-stopwords.htmlThere is a way to incorporate a "Google Search" addon that will enable shorter searches (it will query google's index of the site), so I will work on adding that later today.
