So, I totally love Taebo DVDs. They are inspirational and kick your butt. I own about 10 different taebo DVDs and nothing else makes me feel like I've worked out harder. I especially love the Bootcamp series because you use resistance bands.
So I just got my Taebo AMPED shipped yesterday. In the order came 5 DVD workouts, the Amplifier Bar, supplements (I won't use those) & his diet/workout plan. There is a month long schedule of which workouts to use on what days. Guess what kind of diet he has you do? Low carb. Yep. Healthy fats like avocado, nuts, & olive oil. The carbs are higher than an atkins induction, but still no bread, pasta, etc.
My experiment will be to take a month and do the schedule of DVDs as written and see what kind of difference it makes. I will have my husband take a picture of me tonight and then after a month. No one else might be interested, but I'm a gonna do it. I'm also interested in doing some kind of workout challenge thread if anyone would like to.
Fellow Taebo Lovers, please post your experiences. Like Iggkatt has said, people are all about the Turbo Jam, but we think Taebo is the origional AND where it is at!!
It makes me feel strong. Whenever my husband gets a little cute, I tell him he better watch out or I'll taebo him!!
(also, Billy Blanks the creator, is a christian and there are DVDs that delve into the spiritual aspect of health. He doesn't get into any specific "religious" talks in the DVDs, just about spirituality and the power you can tap into by believing you can change yourself. There are specific DVDs that relate to his beliefs, but you are aware of it when you buy those)

I have gone through three Amped bars so far. No worries...My brother does the workout with me and I have the extra bar for my daughter as well. I don't take his supplements myself, but I did hear that they are okay.
If you really want a great workout I would suggest Rockin Abs and Rockin Buns. There is also a three pack...there are three workouts one of them being the 89 minute Ultimate Taebo.
My experiences with Taebo is just awesome. Billy lifts you up...you feel stronger...and motivated. The results from doing the workout consistently are amazing. i posted pictures called The Body that Billy helped build. It does work!
I will start doing the 30 day rotation with you...since I have been doing it for more than a year I will do the Advanced rotation. This will be so much fun!!

Woo hoo!!!!!! Glad your in. If I could look like you, that would be awesome. You are fabulous.
Thanks for the advanced version. Although I am 208 lbs, I am in pretty good shape. I will try it that way, because the one that was included didn't have the Live In LA version included in the rotation.
I'm so excited!!

YOU WILL KICK BUTT!
It is the execution of the move that matters...not how fast you do it. If you have good form and do the kicks and punches correctly then the results will come. No need to hop around like an insane bunny.
I restarted Taebo at almost 190 pounds (that was after building up my stamina with Walk Away the Pounds) and it kicked my butt. I persisted (yelled at the televison...laid on the floor like a crazed woman trying to keep up) and now I am owning those workouts...they no longer own me (er...well except the Extreme Taebo...that one is owning me now...dang step and dang weights...boo!).
I am excited to join up with you. It is more fun to have a partner than to do it alone.
Live in LA is...eh! I didn't care for it at all. Let me know what you think. If you can try to get the three pack (the one with sculpt express) or if you are interested the ultimate taebo one is available for 14.95. I HIGHLY recommend those...results will be seen quickly.

TAEBO BABY!

Ok, so today was my first day doing the AMPED. I got ready to do it Friday but my DVD player had other ideas and decided to die. It was our system with the surround sound *sad*. But the hubbo was out of town hunting so I had to wait until today. I did the Jump start cardio w/ the amplifier. WOO HOO am I sweaty and sore. I LOVED it. I thought the boot camp bands were tuff. My muscles are jello!

I felt the same way after first trying the system...BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT! You will be hooked for sure, I did Ultimate Taebo with my brother on Friday. I am so proud of him...he made it through the entire 89 minutes!
I took a rest day yesterday...today I am starting the challenge with you.

We will be doing sculpt express today. I know it isn't on the rotation but it is a Amped workout and I totally love it more than Core Express. Keep up the great work. You will be amazed by the results after a month.

Believe in yourself and you can overcome anything!

Checking in....
Did the Sculpt Express as planned on Sunday and just got finished doing Rockin' Abs. I am determined to make my 3-pack a six pack. LOL...I don't care if there is loose skin...I will know it is there. I have noticed doing Taebo the loose skin is not bad at all. Of course I will not venture out with any middrifts...but it is great to be able to wear a tank top in the summer (which seems to be the dominant season here in Arizona) without the gobble gobble arms or the muffin top.
How is the program going for you Ritmeyer?? I know you are kicking butt. Don't push yourself...let your muscles heal before jumping into back to back workouts. Remember it isn't necessarily the QUANTITY of workouts...but the QUALITY. Make sure you have good form and work at your own pace.
I don't think I will ever get bored with these DVDs...
Now...when the husband comes home it will be interesting. He is a Gym Rat...I wonder if I can convert him....

I was just thinking about posting. When I woke up yesterday it hurt to breathe, yep. I got through the jump start cardio w/ the amplifier easy enough. Meaning-drenched in sweat, but I could do all the reps and moves. So yesterday my arms were killing me, along with my sides, back and stomache. This ROCKS!! I have been weight lifting, jogging 3-4 miles, interval training, and doing the Taebo bootcamp, cardio, and get ripped tapes 6 times a week, but this is the best.
I had to rest yesterday. I am going to do the fat burn accelerator w/ amplifier tonight. Woo hoo. I am also going to order the DVDs you suggested soon as well. I think after this month. It is hunting season, so extra $ goes to the hubbo this month.
Yeah, my husband runs, bikes and goes to the gym. He says he thinks taebo would kill him. Wuss! Good luck getting yours to try it!!

Woo, did the fat burn accelerator w/ amplifier last night, that was hard. Moving that fast in the AMPED part was really hard so I just focused on form and went as fast a I could.
Tonight is core express...I hate all core work. But I'm a gonna do it.

I love Taebo and working out with Billy Blanks. I have most of his sets and I think the Taebo Amped is probably his best. I bought two of Amplifier bars and the first time out my son and I almost knocked each other out. But we had fun and a major workout.

I am working on my 4th Amped Bar. My brother and I do the workouts...now my sister in law is doing it with us. I want to get another bar to get my husband involved as well. I believe I can get at least 4 workouts out of him...it is the least he can do. He has been gone for almost 15 months and I am hoping he is willing to spoil me and workout with me. I hate going to the Gym. Most of the time it is single soldiers sitting around on the benches looking at the females...I fully believe that they gym should be a place to workout. Not a place to get a number!
My brother called me and told me that he is buying me the the workout with the Billy Ball. I am so looking forward to trying this workout. I am still shaky using an exercise ball but the previews look fun. I am sure it won't be Amped. I am hooked on that...
I did Taebo Elite Mission Spot Training Upper Body. I used 5 pound weights and boy I am feeling the burn.
I am so glad to know that there is yet another Billy Lover out there! Hi Carol!! I absolutely LOVE your blog!! I will updating links again and I will add you to my list. Ritmeyer do you have a blog as well?? I would love to link you...
I am going to have to catch up on the forum and check out all the writings of all the wonderful people on this site...

Another TaeBo lover here. I have boot camp and cardio. I also do the original basic VHS with clients at work several times per week. Class is only 30 minutes and they only have a VHS player so that automatically limits which workouts I can use. They are quickly becoming Billy addicts though. It's quite funny when peple who I had to drag to the gym 3 weeks ago are now following willingly. They ask "are we walking or kicking" (some people just walk laps on their day to do class) and when I say kicking they are all over it.

I just had to share this. So I took my measurements when I started this...already I have lost 1.5 inches in my stomach, 1 inch in my bust (the good ole' back fat), .5 inch off my hips. Can you believe it? It hasn't even been a full two weeks. I put on my jeans out of the dryer and ran up the steps...and they fell off! I can wear my next size jeans that didn't fit comfortably...Wednesday of last week. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even imagine what a few months of this will do.
