Jimmy - I'm so glad that I found you. Your blog, podcasts and this forum are a wealth of information and encouragement. You are clearly "the real deal" as you put yourself out there on video and current pics and that is just what I need right now. Like so many, I welcome the example of someone who lost weight and knows how to really keep it off, and can enjoy life, and food too. God bless you! smile.gif

Hi folks,
I'm a newbie, doing a low carb lifestyle, have done 3 or 4 different versions and trying to keep it lean and clean to get to goal. I am drawn here by all the positive stuff I've read here. Jimmy, thanks for having this site! smile.gif

More later,
Sunny

God bless you too Kelly! I'm happy to have you here. And it's much brighter here with you too Sunny. biggrin.gif Sorry for the pun, I couldn't resist (like you've never heard that before!). HA! laugh.gif

Thanks, Jimmy, for the "warm" welcome cool.gif ! I have recently come here from that which shall remain nameless, having lost 16 pounds with a lower fat, low carb WOE. I did Atkins several times, and then in 2005 after hitting my highest, I did a modified version of the Overeaters Anonymous old plan called Grey Sheet which was wonderful, but too strict for me. Threw in some Slim-Fast but that got me back into the sugar. I am keeping the carbs under 20, usually around 12-15 for now, and calories around 1000-1200. I'm at my lowest weight in about 14 years but still have a ways to go. I'll probably lower the goal but this is good for now.

It means a lot to me that you responded to my message.
thank you,
Sunny

I'm HERE, rather than THERE too. Funny how that works.

Hello,

About 3 weeks ago I did K/E and went to Kimkins. At the time I had no idea of the controversy and dangers of this plan.

Anyway I am back to Atkins. I lost 41 lbs in 5 months last year, went off plan and gained it all back. This time I've lost 17 lbs so far.

This seems like a cozy forum and from reading some threads I know I will learn here. I see some familar screen names also. smile.gif

Welcome Gypsy - glad to have you. I think you'll find lots of other Kimkins Survivors here getting leaner on healthier plans, without the drama. Hope to see you around!
