I don't know which Atkins I am doing.

I have the books DANDR and Atkins for Life but I don't follow them completely. I used to have Atkins 72 about 10 years ago when I first started doing Atkins, but I lent it to someone and I don't remember who. I'll have to get another copy.

Anyway, I eat mainly protein and I don't worry about the fat grams. As for vegetables I will eat salad veggies, broccoli, green beans and that is about it. I do occasionally have olives (which I love). I have eggs for breakfast every day. I don't eat faux foods, but I do indulge in a little whiskey on some weekends. I do drink diet coke (love it!) and occasionally crystal light. I also use splenda in my tea. I don't drink coffee (hate it).

I am a very simple eater and do not need fancy recipes to make me feel as if I am eating something I am not. I am good with eating a sausage (smokie) or 2 with cheese for supper and a caesar salad, or a steak with broccoli, etc. Actually the faster and easier I can make it, the better it is for me. I usually buy a whole roasted chicken at the beginning of the week and then just pick at that throughout the week. If I do eat out somewhere, I will have a steak or a burger (no bun) along with salad.

I don't really follow a book per se but I have been successful in my weight loss. I am also exercising more than I have in the past.

Any comments about what I am doing? Right or Wrong?

Are you drinking water?

Diet coke and/or CL aren't water, don't count as water, and won't give you any of the benefits of water.

What's the ingredients in that whole roasted chicken? Most commercially prepared chicken is injected with a dextrose solution, and often the skin is dusted with flour.

If it's not a deal breaker for you...

Since I follow Atkins 2002, my question would be ... are you getting enough vegetables?

Atkins for Life is geared towards maintenance.

If what you're doing is working, then that's really what matters.
