Thankyou Jimmy and everyone for letting me come on board here-Kimmer thinks I am mentally ill and has banned me for being depressed(???) Anyway I will try not to voice my anger here and just get on with the program-

I have been binging, Wendys burger and fries, Wendys chili-this morning already i have had 2 granola bars and a WHITE BAGEL with cream cheese-

i want to leave these keyboard this morning entirely committed to a low carb lifestyle-i am thinking atkins as i have done that before and lost approx 3# week

i have recently come to terms with the fact that whatever i do decide to do-its not a race and i should be prepared to follow it forever....this is to be a lifestyle

i know that because i was down to 175 on kk on june 16 and carbed my weigh back to 194 as of today- carbs (bad carbs) are not an option...

so, if you could just steer me into the path...

also -is it possible to put on a weight loss ticker-i do like that feature...

and how do i put a duck as my avatar?

I'm sorry -- I don't intend to poke fun at what was almost certainly a bad experience. I do appreciate the irony, though. . .

On to things that actually matter: your mental health and your moods are, in fact, affected by what you eat. When you don't feel good physically, it is reflected mentally and emotionally. If you felt like crap on KK, you aren't alone -- and you'll feel better soon!

I binged like crazy when I left KK, and I've gone back to Atkins with significant success (I think so, anyway). You'll get back into the swing of enjoying food again, and meals won't be a burden anymore!

Weight-loss tickers can be obtained at www.tickerfactory.com; once you've created your ticker, you should copy the bbCode and paste it into your signature (which is edited by following the "My Controls" link at the upper right, just under the steak). Your avatar is also edited there, although I'm fresh out of ducks. . . VernsWifeVickie is using a really cute duck for her avatar -- you might PM or email her and see where she got it!

Lunch: I always try to make enough at dinner to have leftovers for the next day that I can pack for lunch. I know other people who make Saturday or Sunday into a big cooking festival; they divvy up all the stuff they've made into individual portions and stuff it in the fridge/freezer for consumption throughout the week. If you're out of time and need something quick, some cheese and lunchmeat will work in a pinch. I've also resorted to buying those pre-cooked meat entrees (I think Hormel makes 'em); they aren't ideal, but they're fast and most of them are low-carb.

And JAYBEE, you are always welcome here! This is the second least-judgemental group of people I've ever met; the absolute least-judgemental group would be my church family. Make yourself at home, because we'll always be happy to see you!

Jaybee, this is a new beginning for you. Don't drown you sorrows in Wendy's and bagels. ohmy.gif That's just going to make you hungrier. sad.gif Sounds like you are off to the races again. I'm glad you've found us. The fact that you looked and posted means at least in part you are ready to begin again. Reach out and grab onto this life raft and let's get back on track.

Since you've done Atkins, I highly recommend that you begin induction immediately. Not tomorrow or not Monday, but with your next meal. Dig out your old book or go to Atkins.com and get familiar with the rules again. If you have to make a special shopping trip then do it, but I'll bet you've got something in your freezer for fridge to get you through your next couple of meals. Promise me you'll start to day, and best of luck to you with your efforts to be healthy and slim. If you need help I'm here and so are about 500 of your new best friends. LOL biggrin.gif

Good morning everyone!
This morning i have had 2 fried eggs
i am drinking some water and thinking about having a little bit of cheese because i still feel a bit hungry

i'm taking this ONE HOUR AT A TIME

ATKINS ALL THE WAY!!!

ok Jimmy, so if my body is craving fat, and i just ate fried eggs, what should i eat-some olives, nuts (although I am on induction) cream cheese, and just a little bit i suppose-oh i am so confused between kk and atkins...

This morning i am going to have some eggs, and then i will cook up some chicken breasts for lunch and dinner and take some romaine lettuce and celery with me to work
When i come home tonite, if i am hungry, i will have some cheddar cheese, olives and diet jello with whip cream (now i am salivating)

i cant remember if cottage cheese and yogurt are okay on atkins.....

i also have some tins of tuna in olive oil i could take for a snack.

i will have to go and look at your menus again

You could eat more eggs if you are still hungry cooked in butter or coconut oil or you could add a little cheese or nuts to your meal as well (no olives...EWWW!).

Get more fat in your diet and get out of the diet mode that that other place put you in. You are living a permanent and healthy lifestyle now and it's time to move forward.

Stay away from cottage cheese and yogurt for now.

I don't see any beef in your diet and the fattier cuts the better. How about bacon and sausage? Do you like these? They are legal on low-carb, so eat up!

Just keep your carbs reduced and fat is not harmful. Okay? You're doing GREAT!

OLIVES ARE LIKE TEQUILA-YOU HAVE TO ACQUIRE A TASTE FOR EM, BUT ONCE YOU DO....

i just like the idea that they apparently have some kind of good fat in em, and they are salty-i have some in my fridge that are stuffed with almonds and red peppers!

but i will lay off for now, same with the yogurt and cottage cheese, and Jimmy, thanks for reminding me about the reds,,,,i love burgers, and steak and sausage,,,,i just have to de-kk ( sounds too much like decay-thats what i was doing over there)

I am reading the DANDR again, and trying to reprogram myself... i am down 2.5 lbs-yesterday was my first binge free day so i am on a new high....

you peeps are all so AWESOME

i know what you mean knoxvegas, i feel like i am missing something too-i am so programmed to kk and the whole lean meats thing---i think i will go out today and get some fatty chicken legs and a nice big steak...i am so sick of dry chicken breasts and fish----

wish i still had my atkins tapes, and recipe cards, and cheat sheets,-i gave them all away when i started kk because i thought atkins was the reason i wasnt losing like i should-now i realize its the other way around, and i cant give anything of kk away because it is all virtual, and burned on my brain


we will get through this together ok?
